I was enthusiastic regarding the first AZARATH masterpiece, and I am extremely pleased to report that this new one from the Polish outfit follows the same path in terms of brilliance and musical excellence. To cut it short, "Infernal Blasting" is a must-have in any serious record collection; that said, you can stop reading this review immediately in order to get this fabulous record without losing too much time. For the still sceptics, let’s say that if you are a fan of devilish Death Metal in the line of what the mighty DAMNATION (Poland) delivered some years ago, this record is for you. Some Brazilian vibes could be heard now and then, think of REBAELLIUN and NEPHASTH to get a rather precise idea of what "Infernal Blasting" is about. And I have even detected some traces of IMMOLATION which spice the disc a little more. All the tracks are short and to the point (except ‘Born To Rot’ which exceeds the 6 minutes mark in duration), this fact accounting for the shortness of the whole disc. Needless to say the musicianship appears faultless here, guitarist Bart and drummer Inferno in particular stealing the show on more than one occasion. The production is buffed up to the max; expect a clear and rich sound which will blow your speakers down to ashes. It seems AZARATH is a household name only in their native Poland, as I didn’t read that much about them elsewhere. Yet this band is vastly superior to some over praised other Polish bands who beneficiate of a better promo campaign. Make no mistake, and acquire this record without delay. A KILL!!!! www.azarath.tcz.pl.
