DAMAGE
Time To Attack

More and more, bands of all ages and nationalities are trying their hardest to play Metal of all varieties with the exuberant punch that gave it such vibrancy in decades past. DAMAGE are one such band. Their demo, “Time To Attack”, is a charmingly amateur affair similar to the early work of SODOM, METALLICA, and HELLHAMMER. The word “amateur”, by the way, should not be understood as a term that dismisses the merits of the music. In this context; i.e. early-to-mid 80s Metal, “amateur” is what characterized all the masterful demos accidentally fashioned by excited teenagers. It’s great, and what is more, DAMAGE are entirely without that plastic myspace sound that so many other band suffer from. The production is likely as not informed by HELLHAMMER or some other band with a fat, dusty production on their demo. DAMAGE are not fond of emos. So great is their distaste, the demo has a drawing of one in the process of being decapitated. That’s true Metal. www.myspace.com/damagewebsite
