DIRTY CONNECTIONS
We Are The Night

My first idea was to begin this review with some thoughts about the album cover, but on the second approach I decided it is simply not worth it. Like this whole four-track EP is nothing but a big fail. DIRTY CONNECTIONS from Germany released their debut "Sextreme Dynamite" three years ago and although I am not a Glam Metal / Hard Rock enthusiast I am fair enough to acknowledge good work. However, with the change of the singer the band adjusted their style, but for the worse. No more punchy vocals, high-pitched screams and recognizable refrains. Maybe the intention of the vocalist is to sound aggressive, but for me it sounds like a person suffering from obstipation sitting in the john and desperately trying to get things started. The music turned from well-played Sleaze Metal to a mix of Groove Metal, Nu Metal and a powerless imitation of MISFITS.
