Truer words could never be said for DISSIPATION, a long-awaited but no less invigorating Death Metal band from Virginia (the state which many of you will recall gave us DECEASED). This demo ought to meet the standards held by underground die-hards who worship bands on a demos-only kind of basis as well as allow others to grow excited for forthcoming releases. As for myself, I hear pure, occultic ferocity and I want more! Drawing upon such influences as NECROVORE, demo-era MORBID ANGEL, POISON (GER), and other early Death Metal bands, DISSIPATION forge an expert modern complement to those ancient days of yore, when "Divus De Mortuus" was on every tape trader’s list and the Metal was Satanic, littered with cobwebs, and dank as a mummy’s old tomb. A classic demo is not without its coverart, and I must say this tape in particular looks as obscure as the music that’s on it; sporting strange glyphs and things hidden in smoke.
