Born in L.A. in 1990 ENTETY released the “Eviscerated Then Mummificated” live demo 1990 and three years later the 7″EP “Cadaveric Necrogrind” came out. In 1994 they recorded the “Into The Desolate” demo but this was never released. In the same year ENTETY disbanded. Now, twelve years after the birth of the band, World War III Records released the songs from the 7″ session together with the unreleased demo on CD. ENTETY plays fast, gory and brutal as hell Death Metal which reminds me here and there of INFAMY (by the way, the line up includes two INFAMY and two COFFIN TEXTS members) but with deeper and more guttural, inhuman vocals. Both recordings show pretty much the same style of brutal music. But they have different vocalists. As aforementioned both vocalists are damned deep and guttural but Jake Ortiz who tortured his throat on the “Into The Desolate” recordings is a phenomenon. His voice is so deeeeeep, unbelievable that this comes out of a human throat. He sounds like he had Ruben Rosas and Matti Way for breakfast. That gory kind of vocal style is definitely not my cup of tea but I have to admit that it sounds really BRUTAL. I would love to hear ENTETY with Bobby (bass) doing the vocals. He is the vocalist in COFFIN TEXTS and now also in DIABOLIC. But that’s just a matter of taste, isn’t it? Anyway, “Cadaveric Necrogrind” is a recommendable piece of raging, raw, brutal Death Metal. I like the very harsh production. I guess if a piece of raw, bloody flesh would be able to make some noise it would sound like ENTETY. So if you’re into brutal shit you definitely should check out “Cadaveric Necrogrind”… and prepare for the return of ENTETY…
