Well it has been three years since FEAR FACTORY has graced us with their brand of futuristic groove laden, hook chorus grind. This time around electronics come into play more effectively than ever before. I have followed this band for quite a while now and have been pleased with all their albums and their two live shows in which they dominate all the time. Herrera (drums) sounds like a mad machine on this album and is superb with his timing of the guitars courtesy of Dino. Of course Dino has not changed his style of writing which I’m glad to see. Bass player Christian has changed his bass a little bit so its more prominent now. And the star of the show Burton C.Bell on vocals amazes us with his wide array of vocal capabilities, he never ceases to amaze me. This by far has become my favorite FEAR FACTORY album cause they don’t lose their NAPALM DEATH, SLAYER roots and sell out. Many critics will say they have on here but all I see is a band maturing and getting better. The only complaint is the track ‘Back The F**k Up’ which features a rapper. The bonus tracks really make this a must buy, four in all and they are heavy!! So for all the FEAR FACTORY fans out there this is definitely their finest work, just listen to the tracks: ‘Acres Of Skin’, ‘Digimortal’, ‘Byteblock’ and ‘Damaged’ for proof of this well oiled machine. And if you are thinking that the story on here is a continuation of "Obsolete" I agree even though the band themselves think its not really.
