NECROID
Natural Disharmonies

Death Metal anno 2005 more and more seems to be influenced by bands like PANTERA and MACHINE HEAD, just with the so called Death Metal-like grunts / growls added to it. NECROID is no exception, as this three man-outfit from the south of Germany doesn’t offer anything else than the hybrid before mentioned. I wonder why Death Metal today is hardly influenced by the old atmospheric, dark aspects of that genre. It is like a fist in the face to play as groovy or fast as possible, I never will understand this. The music of NECROID is not played as fast as possible, but a dark and evil atmosphere is completely missing here. The music based on “Natural Disharmonies” sounds too harmless and meaningless, just like the lyrics, layout and band-photos of that already 4 years existing band. Just one song (‘Trapped In Darkness’) can be seen as a good one, but it is just due to its influence of SLAYER, which makes that song sound like one of German DESASTER, of course with their new vocalist Sataniac! www.necroid.de
