How often do we come across good digestible no nonsense Death Metal with quality nowadays? Not that often I think. New bands have a tendency of overdoing a thing or two and older more established acts a tendency of straying a bit off their path, besides the few acts that keep stable and I like them. NECROSODOMY is a new entity hailing from Hungary and this 2 track EP is their first offering to the gods of Death Metal. The three members of the band have been digging deep into the Swedish Death Metal heritage during their musical upbringing, as this release reeks of Sweden or at least their Death Metal, there isn’t much soggy Ikea meatball over this release. A brutal tour de force of the masters of the genre and some newer inputs makes these two tracks interesting. Musically we aren’t getting treated anything new, though it all reeks of energy and intensity and some effective and raw driving guitar riff, good brutal melodies, frenzy drumming and a maniacal straight in your face growl. It will be interesting to see if NECROSODOMY can keep up their drive and intensity on a full length album, something that I hope will appear from them sooner than later, as you all might know I’m addicted to this kind of Death Metal. Swedish Death Metal is still conquering new parts of the world, way to go! http://necrosodomy.bandcamp.com, label contact: stygian@t-online.hu
