This is my first and last encounter with this band, that I can tell. Before releasing this, the OVERGARVEN guys should have questioned their abilities to compose and deliver good music. What you can find on this promo-CD (three tracks) is a poor mix between stale Heavy Metal and traces of depressive Doom / Death. In fact OVERGARVEN made me think (faintly) about the excellent Finnish band GOD FORSAKEN, minus the class and talent the Finns had when they were active. The excitement factor nears the zero mark here, I don’t see any future for OVERGARVEN, their incapacity to find out hooks and striking riffs being so obvious. Adieu. Contact: overgarven@mail.gr
