As you all probably have surmised by just the name alone, you know exactly what you are stepping into with this release. A further perusal of the song titles will erase any doubts that this is pure Death Metal. Death Metal from the sewers of Denmark may be a more apt description. If I can continue along those lines of my descriptors let me delve into this further for you. Sometimes when you walk by the sewer line, disposal etc. you may cringe, step back in disgust but still, curiosity prevails at times. It may be a bit of a process just to find anything of worth because it all blends in. What you see amongst it all, not much stands out from the morass of refuse and detriment. Forgive me for stretching out the sewer analogy, but with PUSTULANT FLESH, you will maybe see / hear plenty of my correlation. This is literally Death Metal from the sewer, with all the accompanying gurgly and squishy noises to enhance (or distract) from your auditory experience. If you look into and maybe if I can stretch my analogy a bit, because granted PUSTULANT FLESH is not terrible, it all blends into the typical seepage and lacks any real distinction in the songwriting dept. The obligatory sound samples are there, the aforementioned noises and soundbites to draw you in, as to let you know that this is from the mold ridden and trash infested pipes of the sound of all that is Death Metal. Now again I must make mention that this is not terrible by any means and the sound from this young crew definitely harkens to early CARCASS, FETID and a bit of AUTOPSY. Granted this is their first full-length release, so there is still plenty of time to grow. Thus, what I say to you all now is how willing are you to delve into the murk and the slime to find that rare jewel? www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100084478534385, www.facebook.com/extremelyrottenproductions
