Endless Sea Of Loss

These Germans have been around for quite some time now and always seemed big SUFFOCATION fans. Can’t remember them being that slammy but it definitely supports their American sound. A creepy intro and another piece probably from a horror movie add to this impression. What I absolutely can’t stand are the screams of pain for the doomy track ‘Bloodmarked’: they’re simply too real. Sounds exactly like the guy from last year’s accident just before my door. That definitely wasn’t fun. At all. Pushing such thoughts aside, that very track is my favorite one (I like it slow, you know). It’s also that track where singer Carsten successfully tries to vary his vocals a little. Lately I’m getting annoyed by monotonous singers more and more easily. A good Sound Lodge production helps the band keeping up with international standards but compared with all those bands playing that very style I’m not sure if I’d buy this album (at the moment I’m not buying that many CDs anyway). I’m glad to have it in order to complete my RESURRECTED collection, though. Plus: the band makes it only too easy – even for morons like me – to recognize which song was inspired by which (American) band. Absolutely solid album for maniacs but not necessarily a must have. www.resurrected.net.
