Oh no, what is this? “This sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before” was the first thought that came to my mind when REVENIGIA entered my CD-player. Unfortunately this thought has not changed even after my third “attempt” (ok,ok, I skipped a lot in round 2 and 3…). BUT I am really afraid that there are people who like stuff like this, otherwise bands like MANOWAR, ICED EARTH and HAMMERFALL could not exist. REVENGIA play stupid, ultra-boring and veeeery unoriginal Heavy Metal with a sterile production and an extreme beer-belly-attitude, that simply pulls you the shoes out. The ridiculous vocals sound like maximum-Lemmy-wannabe and especially the lyrics are bad as hell, but I have heard worse (e.g. from the above mentioned bands). Try to think of a teenage student realizing some day that planet earth is dying from pollution and that everyone should be killed by Neanderthals for that, while listening to MOTÖRHEADS “Bomber” on their iPods in sabertooth optic… It is maybe cool to play stuff like this when you are 15, have a cool Death Metal band an get drunk so much on a Saturday night that you simply want to make fun of Heavy Metal: your friends would love it, if they knew it WAS a joke. For all you ARCH ENEMY and EUCHARIST friends: for your own sake I try to avoid mentioning that Daniel Erlandson himself plays the drums here… Damn, I failed. www.revengia.se, www.metalfortress.com
