NOX have posted an advance mp3 of the track ‘Choronzonic Chaos Gods’ on the Wicked World Records myspace page. It will be the opening cut from their upcoming new album "Ixaxaar", which is set for a February 19, 2007 release. DERANGED have added Tomas Ahlgren (ARSONIST, PANDEMONIUM) to their line up as the new bassplayer. The band has been jamming a while with an incomplete line up, but it’s now complete with Tomas Ahlgren.

On December 01, 2006 the new CRIMSON FALLS album "The True Face Of Human Nature" will be released through Shiver Records. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at CCR studio (Aborted, In-Quest, Betzefer, Liar, Lengtche). The title track and ‘Controle Alt Delete’ are available for download through the band’s myspace domain www.myspace.com/crimsonfalls. "The True Face Of Human Nature" features guest appearances by Svencho (Aborted) on ‘Controle Alt Delete’ and XCaroX (No Recess) on ‘Martyr Vs. Terrorist’. The artwork was done by Avernus Studios, a new design agency born out of the ashes of Dirge Design (Immolation, The Amenta, In-Quest).
Reunited Oakland, California Thrashers DEFIANCE, best known for their seminal late ’80s / early ’90s Roadrunner releases "Void Terra Firma" and "Beyond Recognition", have issued the following statement: "It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our dear friend, bandmate, and Corporate Punishment Records artist, DEFIANCE guitarist Doug Harrington. At his request, and for the privacy of his family, we did not make his condition known, but Doug had been quietly battling cancer for much of this year, until Tuesday night [Nov. 14] when he finally succumbed to it. He went peacefully and in the presence of his wife and family. Doug was, however, able to participate in several of the writing and recording sessions for the new DEFIANCE record, including one just three days before he passed." DEFIANCE recently entered Trident Studios in Concord, CA with producer Juan Urteaga (EXODUS, SKINLAB, VILE) to begin laying down tracks for their first full-length album in over ten years. Along with the new CD, DEFIANCE is also working on putting together a DVD, tentatively titled "Decade(s) Of Defiance" that will cronicle the band’s entire career from 1985 to the present.
NYC’S SUN DESCENDS has an all new line-up and a re-scheduled studio date. Singer Mem V. Stein has recruited Kristian Shamash on guitars (replacing Sam Awry), and Steve Proios on drums as permanent members for the band’s up-coming, second full-length album. SUN DESCENDS is scheduled to begin recording their new release for Twilight Distribution (Germany), at the end of March 2007, in NYC. The position for bass is currently filled by session musicians, including Craig "The Reaper" Horval of NUNSLAUGHTER/CRUCIFIED MORTALS, until the band has found a permanent replacement for former bassist Jillian A. LaBoy. Mem V. Stein: "At this point it is clear that this band won’t be stopped from its mission because of personnel changes or any other roadblocks.This is musically the most prolific line-up since SUN DESCENDS’s formation in 2000, and the new material will prove it."
DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS who have been signed by British label Conquer Records in June 2006 has been confirmed as the main support act for AETERNUS on their European tour in November / December this year. The band will be promoting their latest effort "Plurima Mortis Imago" which is out now.
Tabu Recordings has announced that recently signed Norwegian cult Doom band FUNERAL has just lost one of its two founders. Guitarist Christian Loos was found dead in his flat on Saturday, October 28. He was 31.
ARES KINGDOM have issued the following statement regarding the cancelation of their upcoming tour: "Ares Kingdom regrets to announce that Mike’s wife became ill and was hospitalized on October 31st, forcing us to cancel our upcoming west coast tour dates. We had hoped circumstances would change in the last couple of days and allow the tour to go on, but unfortunately they have not. We sincerely apologize to our friends and fans that have been looking forward to the tour as much as we were, as well as the promoters and venues that worked hard to set up the shows. We wish Mike’s wife a full and speedy recovery, and we will work to reschedule the dates as soon as possible."
Iron Pegasus Records will release a picture disc version of PENTACLE‘s "Under The Black Cross" album. For the very first time, this album will be accompanied by the lyrics. To support the lyrical concept several photos were used for the new layout. Each photo is linked to its specific lyrics, so that you should get an interesting view of this historical battleground. Manuel Tinnemans did the artwork for the cover of the picture disc.
Norwegian Death Metallers BLOOD RED THRONE have been working in Jailhouse studio for the last 2 days on a pre production for the new album due out on Earache early 2007. 70% of the material is written and the band started pre production to test both the studio and the two new members, Anders Haave (drums) and Vald (vocals). 4 songs have been recorded so far and the band is extremely pleased with both the material and the sound. "This time, we aim for a more classic Death Metal sound, a la Gorguts "Considered Dead", Suffocation "Despise The Sun" kind of sound. We have grown tired with the over-produced and fully triggered drum kits that so many bands use today, besides we have taken a slightly new direction with our music and the analog and dynamic sound fits the music better. We have also chosen a different approach to the recording process of the instruments. We are very pleased with the outcome of the 4 songs and can’t wait till the actual album recording starts, hopefully sometime in December". Some working titles of the forthcoming songs: ‘Rebirth In Blood’, ‘Come Death’ and ‘No New Beginning’.
