ARMOUR
Sonichouse Tape

Well, maybe not the typical album for Voices From The Darkside. So, if you are "just" into Death, Black or whatever else extreme Metal, jump over to another review. What we have got here is pure eighties influenced Metal / Hardrock. The band claims to be influenced by bands like SAXON, DOKKEN, JUDAS PRIEST, DEEP PURPLE, SCORPIONS to name just a few. Honestly, those bands have never been my favourite ones, all the more I was surprised how often I listened to this release during the last weeks. Especially the raw and dirty sound is providing a great atmosphere, no clinical and sterile high-end production, just plain and simple Metal straight into the listeners face, so to say. The "Sonichouse Tape" is the first demo by the band, recorded back in December 2006, although they have been formed back in 2002. The version released by Area Death Productions is limited to (of course) 666 copies, which contains four live bonus songs. Sadly this release is already sold out, but I guess a full-length album is already on schedule, so watch out. www.myspace.com/metalarmour
