It’s amazing! There are tons of talented young Death Metal bands crawling up from the pits into the light! DISINFECT from Ludwigsburg, Germany is another band that can compete with the breath taking high level of other newcomers! They’re playing excellent, fast and brutal Death Metal the American way, but their lyrical approach seems to be slightly different from the usual blood’n’gore stuff: I don’t have the lyrics but the info says that some tracks deal with social criticism.That’s fine with me. Other songs obviously are about war as there are dialogues and weapon fire from a (German?) war movie (I’d give it a shot: from “Stalingrad”). Frightening screams that remind me I would rather die than go to war (how pathetic!). Interesting to use German vocals for some songs. I can’t understand it (tryin’ to understand DM vocals, eh?) but it gives those songs a certain rhythm and feeling. As Chris (guitar) also organizes the “Depth Of Winter” festival there will be a lot to talk about in the upcoming interview. Plus there will be a review on the Ear Terror festival as well where DISINFECT did a good job inspite of severe technical problems! www.disinfect.de
