Bringer Of War

I guess I gotta admit that I hate album covers like this here. Putting a soldier (probably out of WWII) or a tank (like several other bands do these days) on your sleeve does make the whole thing look a lot more like a stupid Hardcore record and not like a Death Metal release. Yeah, I’m pretty close-minded and proud of it! Clichés rule! It’s too sad, cause Brazil’s REBAELLIUN don’t even need bullshit like that. The band is 100% dedicated to brutal Death Metal and this four song Mini CD definitely a worthy follow-up to their ’99 debut full length “Burn The Promised Land”! They still deliver Highspeed Death Metal full of blastbeats and over the top brutality, somehow in a similar vein as their countrymen KRISIUN (without sounding the same though). Some people probably may complain about the lack of variety, but who gives a fuck when a band comes across this devastating?! “Bringer Of War” features three new songs and a really convincing cover of the old MORBID ANGEL classic ‘Day Of Suffering’. So, I guess it’s needless to say that pure Death Metal lunatics have to add this to their collection…
