From the camp of Bielefeld / Germany based Black Metallers GEÏST, here is a message from bass player Alboin: "Our current synthesizer player Faruk will leave us early 2010, which is why we are on search for a new synthesizer player now. From February 2010 on, we want to play concerts in complete line-up, and in further course of the year we want to arrange and record new music. If possible, we’d like to entirely integrate our new member in both of these enterprises. If you own suitable equipment, have compositional skills or a classical musical education, are from the Bielefeld / Germany area, or if you’re willing to travel or relocate, work reliably, self-dependently, and professionally, are at least 20 years old, think, compose, and play creatively and visionary and if Geïst would become a priority in your (musical) activities, we’d be happy to receive an application e-mail plus a sample of your work from you. Please send it to alboin@the-geist-reich.de."

EXUMER have released their first new song in 23 years, titled ‘Waking The Fire’, featuring founding member Mem V. Stein on vocals. The song is taken from their new 2-track demo, which was partially recorded in Hawaii and Germany during the band’s last tour earlier this year.Vocalist Mem V. Stein comments: "I tracked the vocals for ‘Waking The Fire’, in Hawaii with Paul (guitars / vocals), last year and the entire band tracked the rest of the music in Germany during our "5 Nights of Fire" tour. This should give people an idea of how committed we are to the project and the logistical challenges involved with keeping the band going. Nevertheless, we find the results nothing short of amazing and the song’s aggression and energy speaks for itself. At this point, we have written over half of the new album and I think we should be able to record the whole CD early next year. Right now, we will start looking for a recording or label deal and there are also concrete plans for a European tour next April / May, as well as festival appearances in summer 2010." EXUMER have posted ‘Waking The Fire’ at www.myspace.com/exumerwakingthefire and www.exumer1985.com

Ventura, California’s FATALIST‘s debut full-length "The Depths Of Inhumanity" (the follow up to 2007’s sold out "Loss" demo) will be released on November 23, 2009 via Ibex Moon Records.Guitarist / vocalist Neil Burkdoll had this to say about the recording: "Well, three years in the making; it has been a long ass time. Our album "The Depths Of Inhumanity" is finally going to see the light of day on Nov 23, 2009. It is 11 songs of old school Death Metal that we hope you guys enjoy. We really tried to make each song stand alone from the others and have their own identity. We are happy as hell that the album is coming out on Ibex Moon as well. We really felt that we would fit nicely on the Ibex Moon roster and it was a great day when John agreed to talk to us about an album deal. Things went really smooth with the label and we hope to work with them again in the future." More info at www.myspace.com/fatalist666.

Blackened Death Metallers ACHERON have signed with Ibex Moon Records for the US release of "The Final Conflict: Last Days Of God". Founding bassist / vocalist Vincent Crowley had this to say about the signing: "We (ACHERON) have really been wanting to have someone license our new album "The Final Conflict: Last Days Of God" in the United States to help give us more of a push in our own country. When Ibex Moon stepped up and signed a deal with Displeased Records we were very excited. John McEntee from Ibex Moon has really put his label / company on the map. Ibex Moon has great distribution and has been releasing excellent albums from killer bands. Our goals are to start promoting the new album as much as possible and get this new musical creation to all the American Metal fans! And as we do this, we hope for all the fans to show their support and actually go out and but a copy of the new CD. Don’t let downloading replace the option of buying CDs! We promise those who get the new album won’t be disappointed in their purchase." The album, the band’s first in six years, is out now in Europe and will be released on November 24th in the US. Drummer Kyle Severn (INCANTATION) shares his thoughts on the album, as well as his band’s new US home: "It is awesome to have yet another release out on Ibex Moon Records: ACHERON – "Final Conflict… Last Days Of God". We have a license deal though Ibex Moon for the USA. We are happy to be a part of Displeased Records for Europe, but we needed distribution for this record in the USA. This record by far is one of the best records I’ve been a part of. It is full of energy and has that great old school Death / Black feeling that the Metal community has been missing. We are the missing link that Ibex Moon has needed! We will also be following this release with some shows and s full world 2010 touring!"
