In September Detest Records will re-release STENCH OF DECAY‘s "Where Death And Decay Reign" demo tape on 12" (in collaboration with a soon to be created new label). It will feature brand new artwork and can already be pre-ordered through www.detestrecords.com
MIASMAL‘s Demo 2008 12" re-release should be available in early August. This limited 12" will only be available from both labels (Detest Records and Nuclear War Now! Prodoctions).
After years of unavailability MONUMENTUM‘s classic album "In Absentia Christi" is being reissued via Displeased Records. It will be completely remastered and includes a bonus track plus redone artwork and layout by Roberto Mammarella. The release date is still to be confirmed.
Norwegian Epic Viking Black Metallers MISTUR have been joined by ex-WINDIR guitarist Strom. In September 2008 the band recorded their debut album "Attende" in Norway’s Akkerhaugen Studios. The album was produced by Thorbjorn Akkerhaugen, who has already assisted EMPEROR and WINDIR in creating their epic walls of sound. The album cover was designed by Belgian Kris Verwimp, who went a step further by painting the artwork in oil. "Attende" will be released in close cooperation with Einheit Produktionen and the release date will be 29 August 2009. More info: www.mistur.no
VILE have just finished recording the vocals for their new album. The band still has to figure out the label situation, but they are hoping to have the album released at least in a limited way in fall with a full world-wide release soon afterwards. MASTER will play Philadelphia’s Hostile City Death Fest to be held on July 4-5, 2009 at The Arena. MASTER will perform on July 5, 2009 with the likes of Absu, Total Fucking Destruction, Kult ov Azazel and GOREAPHOBIA. Ibex Moon label mates DREAMING DEAD will perform on July 4 with, among others, Deicide, Monstrosity, Vital Remains and Jungle Rot. HATE FOREST from the Ukraine have signed a deal with Osmose Productions to re-issue the band’s entire back catalogue. The 6 records will be released from October 2009 to March 2010 as digipaks, limited to 1000 copies each, remastered and with much improved booklets. The band’s music is being described as a "grim, aggressive and straight forward mix of Black and Death Metal with distorted low vocals and ambient elements." The band never gave interviews, never made photos and always held the distance from the whole Black Metal scene.
GRAVEYARD have just finished recording their debut album "One With The Dead". The album will be mastered by none other than Dan Swanö. The tracklist goes as follows: ‘Prologue: The Reaping’, ‘Pantheon Vulture’, ‘The Burning Gate’, ‘Riding A Pale Horse’, ‘Necrology’, ‘Carven Epitaph’, ‘One With The Dead’, ‘Walking Horrors Of The Undead’, ‘Abandoned Churches’, ‘Caro Data Vermibus’ and ‘The Skull’. The CD will be released by Blackseed Productions and the vinyl by Antichristian Front Records. There will be a limited CD edition, including the CANDLEMASS cover ‘A Tale Of Creation’, featuring vocals by Dan Swanö and drums by NOMINON’s Perra Karlsson. The vinyl edition will include a re-recorded version of the band’s demo song ‘Into The Mausoleum’. The release date is set to September 01, 2009.

Swedish DEMONICAL have issued the following statement: "We are back home after a victorious crusade through Europe. Massive hails to our allies in TORTURE KILLER and FACEBREAKER for splendid comradeship and to Markus and Jaqueline for strategic guidance. We are very sorry for the shows that didn’t happen, the reasons were beyond our control. The battle in Marchtrenk was cancelled by the local mayor and his christian sheep as they felt we were spreading Anti-Christian propaganda and polluting the Austrian youth. The show in Flensburg was cancelled by the club with a three day notice without any reasonable explanation. Written contracts and agreements obviously means shit to Mike and Roxy Concerts so I advice you all to avoid him like the plague!! GOREAPHOBIA will be replacing PATHOLOGY on this summer’s "Slaves To Society" U.S. tour featuring MASTER and DREAMING DEAD. This trek across the States is the band’s first in over 17 years. Guitarist Alex Bouks offers these words in regards to what promises to be the summer of brutality: "We are excited to unleash our Dark Metal magick across the U.S. after all these years.The tour will coincide with the release our new record "Mortal Repulsion". Ibex Moon Records will be licensing ASPHYX‘s "Death… The Brutal Way" from Century Media Records Germany for distribution in the United States. It will be released on September 1, 2009. Vocalist Martin Van Drunen and bassist / vocalist Wannes Gubbels issued this joint statement about the U.S. distribution deal: "We as ASPHYX are very pleased we’ve found such a dedicated label in Ibex Moon is to distribute our latest release in the USA. Long time ASSASSIN member Frank Nellen has left the band due to private reasons and has been replaced by Bjoern Sonermann (WICKED KEMAO and more). The new bassplayer is Joachim Kremer who already played in many different projects before (SKINNY BOLD etc.). Chile’s DOMINUS XUL have just re-formed a couple of weeks ago. There’s no plans to record a new album, but to play some live gigs in 2009 (one of them is a support show for SUFFOCATION in September). The current line-up consists of Alejandro Lizana (guitar – one of the founder members, he played on all the band’s releases), Claudio Salinas (vocals – he played guitar on the 1997 EP "Unchaining The Ancient’s Black Prophecies" and "The Primigeni Xul" LP), Rodolfo Sequeida (bass – he played in the last period of the band, after the LP) and Alvaro Sequeida (drums – he also played in the last period of the band, after the LP). Swedish Death Metal masters EVOCATION have unleashed a new video for the track ‘Tomorrow Has No Sunrise’, taken from their critically acclaimed album "Dead Calm Chaos". Chile’s PENTAGRAM were just named "band of the week" on the official DARKTHRONE MySpace page www.myspace.com/officialdarkthrone. Says Fenriz: "This one is for those who know, I grew up with their 7" from late 80s, and it’s one of the best Metal recordings I have. Both demos are equally good, rather fantastically great if you ask me." PENTAGRAM will reunite one last time in 2009 for a Chilean tour and several shows in Europe.
Finnish Thrash Metal band THE SCOURGER and its two founding members Jari Hurskainen and Seppo Tarvainen have decided to continue their musical careers apart. Vocalist Hurskainen will continue under the name of The Scourger by himself. All other ex-members Antti Wirman, Kimmo Kammonen, Jani Luttinen and Seppo Tarvainen will continue together. Their new projects will be announced at a later time. The Scourger has released two full length albums worldwide to date.

THORNAFIRE and Ibex Moon Records regretfully announce the band’s forced cancellation of their highly anticipated US tour with Monstrosity and Torn The Fuck Apart. Guitarist Victor MacNamara has issued the following statement regarding this unfortunate situation: "Due to delays in the processing of our visa application to enter the USA, THORNAFIRE will unfortunately have to cancel their appearance on the Monstrosity U.S. tour 2009, scheduled to take place this June. We’ve done everything in our power and have followed every procedure to make this happen, but the process is very expensive and time-consuming. This matter is out of our hands and we are very disappointed as this was to be our first opportunity to show our madness to the US fans.
