After many line-up changes and a lot of bad luck DEATH BY DAWN finally have some new songs on their myspace site www.myspace.com/deathbydawnde. The band is also looking for a label and booking agents.

Reunited New Jersey Thrash legends WHIPLASH have released 5 brand new tracks entitled ‘Feeding Frenzy’, ‘Pitbulls In The Playground’, ‘Fight Or Flight’, ‘Float Face Down’ and ‘Firewater’ respectively, and are now available for preview listening for the first time on the WHIPLASH E-Card at the Pulverised Records Official Myspace page. The WHIPLASH E-Card will be available for 2 weeks from 29th July 2009 till 11th August 2009.

Swedish INTERMENT have issued the following statement: "INTERMENT is ready to hit Germany and the Thunders Over Miriquidi Festival. We have rehearsed a set which contain both old stuff from our first demo tapes and some more recent spells from our split disc. Will be massive for sure!! We have put the final touches on the long awaited "Where Death Will Increase" demo(n)graphy CD. All the material has been completed, now it’s up to Morbid Wrath & Necroharmonic to decide when this monster should be unleashed. Last but definitely not least, we are also working hard on new material for our first real full-length album. Stockholm’s Death / Black Metal band SPAZMOSITY have finished the recordings of their debut album titled "Welcomes Death" in Necromorbus Studios (WATAIN, UNANIMATED) with producer Tore Stjerna. SPAZMOSITY was founded in the fall of 1994 by the two guitarists B Thelberg and M Lamming. The band quickly evolved from playing covers to writing their own music in the Death and Black Metal genre. After a few concerts Peter Emanuelsson joined as a singer, and 1998 saw the addition of bass player Mikael Nordström. In 2003 their third and highly critically acclaimed demo "Storm Metal" was released. During all this time they gigged whenever possible and shared stage with, among others, Amon Amarth, Lobotomy, Vinterland, Watain, Throneaeon and Entombed. The "Welcomes Death" tracklist reads like this: ‘Regicide’, ‘Iron Coffin’, ‘Prelude’, ‘Forged by Steel’, ‘March of Death’, ’13 Miller’s Court’, ‘The Ancient Art’, ‘The Infernal Dynasty’ and ‘Panopticon’. DOWNTUNED & MORBID is the name of another old school Death Metal fanzine to be released within the next month. The editor says on his myspace page www.myspace.com/downtunedandmorbid "Rather than simply extolling the virtues of the early nineties, I aim to give deserved exposure to the many great bands which are out there today, in 2009, still addicted to the unholy stench of morbid Death Metal…". You can expect interviews with such names as AXIS POWERS, DENIAL, IMPOSER, GODLESS, CEREMONIAL EXECUTION, HATESPAWN, NECROCCULTUS, BOMBS OF HADES, AFFLICTION GATE, PUTERAEON, NECROVOROURS, MAIM, BLOODY SIGN, CRUCIAMENTUM, DARKTHRONE, BLASPHERIAN and many many more. Danish Death Metallers DEUS OTIOSUS have gathered a full line-up and just returned from Earplug Studio, from the recording of a new musical crime, entitled "Murderer". The band is also ready to bring death to the stages in the near future. For all further info check out www.myspace.com/deusotiosus

INCANTATION is preparing for a series of upcoming dates in the fall of 2009 and the spring 2010, which will include longtime drummer Kyle Severn (from such records as "Diabolical Conquest", "Blasphemy", "Decimate Christendom" and "Primordial Domination"). The initial dates will take place over Labor Day weekend in the Midwest and then see the band traveling to Central America in late October / early November 2009. Kyle comments: "Yes I’m excited to play some blasphemous Death Metal again with my INCANTATION family. Do you want some fuckin’ Metal? Well you had better be ready!! We have been practicing material from all of our records, expanding the band’s almost 20-year career. I’ve been in this band for many years and have traveled to a lot of places, but this will be the first time we travel to Honduras and Costa Rica. What an honor it’s going to be to play for the sick Metal heads there." INCANTATION is also confirmed to play the main stage at Maryland Death Fest in 2010.

After a hellbent start in Kansas City, Texas extremists, HOD continue their rampage across America with MONSTROSITY and TORN THE FUCK APART. Guitarist Lord Necron has this to say about the outing thus far, "The tour is going well. It’s great plaing to new crowds and spreading the Metal. West coast be warned, you’re next!"

"Mortal Repulsion", the long-awaited full-length debut from Death Metal’s pioneers GOREAPHOBIA, will finally be released on August 18 via Ibex Moon Records. To coincide with the release the band has struck out on a North American tour with MASTER and labelmates DREAMING DEAD. Guitarist Alex Bouks offers these words in regards to what promises to be the summer of brutality: "We are excited to unleash our Dark Metal magick across the U.S. after all these years.The tour will coincide with the release our new record "Mortal Repulsion". We will be showcasing our brand of dark, blackened Heavy Metal . Jim, Chris and myself are looking forward to see all you Metal tyrants on the road."

American Morbid Kult Records will soon release a 7"EP by Mexican old school Death Metal outfit OMINOUS CRUCIFIX. The recording will most likely include the 4 songs ‘Relics Of A Dead Faith’, ‘Nefarious Prophet’, ‘Catacombs Martyrdom’ and ‘Infatuated Bigots In Sadistic Communion’ with a playing time of approx. 16 minutes. Brazil’s IMPETUOUS RAGE have changed their name into POISONOUS. Drummer Alex Rocha commented this as follows: "It’s another band, the sound is different. Now we are more obscure… We continue to play Metal of Death, but more impure, profane and evil!" According to their official press release the band is musically now a lot more influenced by classic albums such as "Hell Awaits", "Seven Churches", "Mental Funeral" and "Dawn Of Possession". Next to Alex the POISONOUS line-up consists of Michael Hellriff (guitar & vocals), E.Evil (bass) and Fabio Ramos (guitar). A new demo, featuring three songs, will be released shortly. Former CRIMSON GLORY frontman Midnight (real name: John Patrick Jr. McDonald) passed away earlier today (Wednesday, July 8) from "total kidney and liver failure." He was 47 years old. According to JON OLIVA’S PAIN guitarist Matt LaPorte, who played on some of Midnight’s recent solo recordings, the singer spent his final hours surrounded by his mother, brother, daughter as well as members of CRIMSON GLORY, SAVATAGE, and JON OLIVA’S PAIN. His death occurred at 3:45 a.m EST at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Rest in peace John!

The album artwork and final tracklisting for "Unborn Again", the latest and much anticipated album by reunited New Jersey Thrashers WHIPLASH are now revealed. Arkansas’ underground legends VORE have announced the reissue of their first two releases, "Lord Of Storms" (2001) and "Dead King’s Eyes" (1997) together on one CD. The out-of-print discs have been re-mastered by Colin Davis and come packaged in a six-panel digipak featuring the original artwork as well as an additional lyrics insert. The first fifty fans to order the disc will also receive a numbered copy of the band’s comic book, To Be A God, signed by artist Terry Thielen. Swedish cult Black Metallers THE BLACK (featuring members from TYRANT, ETERNAL DARKNESS and VINTERLAND) are back from the dead with a brandnew album entitled "Alongside Death". It was recorded, mixed and mastered at Studio Beast in Sweden by Peter Bjärgö (Tyrant, Arcana, Crypt Of Kerberos), while the cover artwork and layout was done by their very own D.F Bragman. "Feast Of Flesh" is the title of the debut full length by Gore / Horror Death Metal butchers BONE GNAWER. The band features Kam Lee (Massacre / ex-Denial Fiend / ex-Mantas / Death), Rogga Johansson (Paganizer / Demiurg / Ribspreader, etc), Morgan Lie from Swedish Black Metal act Naglfar and Ronnie Bjornstrom (Ribspreader, Hate Ammo, etc), as well as Killjoy of Necrophagia and Dopi from Machetazo contributing guest vocals. The album cover artwork was done by Headsplit Design (Unearthed, Circle Of Dead Children, Whitechapel, etc) and the digipak layout by Mark Riddick (Arsis, Hypocrisy, Kataklysm, etc). "Feast Of Flesh" was mixed and mastered by Ronnie Bjornstrom at Enhanced Audio Productions, Sweden.

Three years after the debut full-length and a mini-album in between, Sweden’s MY OWN GRAVE return with their second effort "Necrology". Swedish SANCTIFICATION‘s "Black Reign" album features Hypocrisy’s Peter Tägtgren and Dark Funeral frontman Emperor Magus Caligula on guest vocals. It was recorded at the Abyss Studio by Tommy Tägtgren, while the mixing and mastering was done by Hypocrisy / Pain frontman Peter Tägtgren.

Australian Black Metallers PESTILENTIAL SHADOWS recently inked a worldwide deal with Pulverised Records for their latest opus "In Memoriam, Ill Omen". The already-completed and released third full-length effort features some of Aussie’s most prominent musicans from Nazxul, Rift, Illium, etc. Recorded and mixed by Balam and mastered by D.Backovic with old school artwork and layout by Balam.

Reunited New Jersey Thrashers WHIPLASH recently played a headlining show at Italy’s Hellbrigade Festival 2009, along with other acts such as Artillery, Brain Dead, Adimiron, Methedras, etc. Two WHIPLASH live footages were captured at the festival, playing the old classics "The Burning Of Atlanta" and "Spiral Of Violence".
