Dallas based Death / Black Metallers SPARROWS are currently planning a tribute to WATAIN album. The band has issued the following open invitation for acts interested in taking part in the project: "We are starting the project of recording a WATAIN tribute album. If you are a band, and want to do a cover on the album, we will pay for the time for you to record it, and give you a copy to use for yourselves. Please share this. Any band that can come to the Dallas, Texas area to record is welcome. If you are from out of state and you can afford a trip to Dallas to record, the same applies to you. The tracklist of the upcoming new SUFFOCATION album "Pinnacle Of Bedlam" reads like this: ‘Cycles Of Suffering’, ‘Purgatorial Punishment’, ‘Eminent Wrath’, ‘As Grace Descends’, ‘Sullen Days’, ‘Pinnacle Of Bedlam’, ‘My Demise’, ‘Inversion’, ‘Rapture Of Revocation’ and ‘Beginning Of Sorrow’. The album marks the return of drummer Dave Culross, who played with the band previously on their "Despise The Sun" EP. Founding member and former drummer Mike Smith also makes a special guest appearance on the re-recorded "Breeding The Spawn" track, ‘Beginning Of Sorrow’. "Pinnacle Of Bedlam" was produced by the band and tracked at Full Force Studios in New York by Joe Cincotta. The mixing and mastering was handled producer / engineer Zeuss (HATEBREED, ARSIS, SUICIDE SILENCE) and the cover artwork was created by Raymond Swanland (DEEDS OF FLESH, PSYCROPTIC). Brazil’s HEADHUNTER D.C. will play next year’s edition of SWR Barroselas Metal Fest (www.swr-fest.com), which will take place on April 24 – 27, 2013, in Barroselas, Portugal. Other already confirmed acts are (among others) POSSESSED, PENTAGRAM, ONSLAUGHT, CRYPTOPSY, BELPHEGOR, MANILLA ROAD, DECREPIT BIRTH, ZOMBIEFICATION, NATRON and CATTLE DECAPITATION. This will be the band’s very first appearance on European stages, and the idea is to arrange a 20 day tour through Europe in the same period (between April and May). More details on this to come. Swedish one-man Black Metal band FLAGELLATED SERAPH is streaming the entire debut album "Beyond Salvation" at this location. "Arrival At Six", the 2nd album of Swedish Death Metal pioneers SORCERY, is completed and will will be released on CD (January 15, 2013) and LP (February 01, 2013) via Xtreem Music. It was mixed by Tomas Skogsberg at Sunlight Studios and the cover artwork has been created by Daniel Devilish. An exclusive advance song has been posted here. Pulverised Records have signed Swedish Grinders EXHALE. The band was formed in 2004 and already released two albums ("Prototype" in 2006 and "Blind" in 2010). Their brand new full-length entitled "When Worlds Collide" is scheduled for a 2013 release. On January 11, 2013 Svart Records will release ATOMIC CRIES‘ new 7", "Suspended Between The Mouth Of God And The Fist Of Man". Both featured tracks (‘False Prophecies’ and ‘The Atheist’) are currently available for streaming at the band’s Bandcamp site. The EP is a precursor to ATOMIC CRIES’ forthcoming debut album. “Gâst”, the fourth full-length album from Danish Black Metallers BLODARV, was released on December 12, 2012 via Self Mutilation Services as a regular CD and limited edition A5 format with different artwork, a 16 pages booklet and lyrics. The album brings back original bass player, Blacky (Jean Yves Thériault), marking his first recordings with the band since 1991’s "Angel Rat". It will include the band’s first 7 demo recordings (never released before, except for the 50 original cassette copies from 1989), a live recording from Garage, Bergen, Norway in April 1991 (never released in any format before), the "Abduction Of Limbs" demo from 1990, the "Devoured Carcass" 7" EP from 1991, the track ‘Forced To Be Lost’ (recorded at Grieghallen in 1991), the September 1992 advance tape and a live track from Hulen, Bergen, Norway 1991. The booklet will include original democover artwork, flyers and never before seen pictures including the very first photosession from May 1988. No tracks got re-mixed, nothing has been touched up. Australian four-piece NOCTURNAL GRAVES will be releasing their next album through Hells Headbangers. Their debut album "Satan’s Cross" and a split LP with HELL SPIRIT came out in 2007 and 2010 respectively on Nuclear War Now! Productions. The band already begun work on their second album and will start recording in two weeks at I-HQ Recordings in Australia. Hells Headbangers have just signed both Gene Palubicki’s bands BLASPHEMIC CRUELTY and PERDITION TEMPLE. The guitarist, founder / songwriter of ANGELCORPSE had the following to say about both signings: "Been a while since there has been any actual ‘production’ news concerning either of my active works, namely PERDITION TEMPLE and BLASPHEMIC CRUELTY. It is official at this point that both bands are no longer part of the Osmose Productions roster. It was not a bad split with my longtime former label, simply the direction the label and my bands are pursuing differs enough to make it time for a change. I’m quite happy to announce the new home for both bands is Hells Headbangers Records! Of the several labels who contacted me and made various offers, Hells Headbangers clearly shares my vision for the course I wish to go for both bands. Hells Headbangers has a dedication to releasing the sort of products that are very much a best fit for my bands. In development currently are the sophomore full-length from PERDITION TEMPLE, and a forthcoming MLP of new BLASPHEMIC CRUELTY material. For line-ups concerning both bands, I couldn’t be more satisfied! In PERDITION TEMPLE I’ve got drummer Ronnie Parmer, whose been tearing it up with devilish precision with me for all the shows we’ve been doing for the last year now, as well as Gabriel Gozainy on bass, who completely shreds my riffs and gives our sound just that much more mayhem! And in a somewhat recent development, the line-up is now also joined by my former bandmate from past ANGELCORPSE times, Bill Taylor on second guitar! Norwegian Black Metallers ENDEZZMA have just released their first official video for the song ‘Junkyard Oblivion’, the opening track from the “Erotik Nekrosis” album. It features guest appearances by URGEHAL’s Enzifer and BEASTCRAFT’s Sorath Northgrove and was produced by the Effektor Film Company and directed by ENDEZZMA’s frontman Morten Shax and R.M. Camera. Spanish Death / Grinders GRUESOME STUFF RELISH have posted a new track entitled ‘S.O.S.’ at this location. It is taken off their forthcoming album "Sempiternal Death Grind", which will be released on January 25,. 2013 on CD, LP (three different versions) and digital download through F.D.A. Records. The "die hard" LP edition will be limited to 50 copies only, clear vinyl + poster + CD version. The "gore-hound" LP version will be limited to 150 copies in red vinyl + poster. The third LP version, called "crypt", is limited to 300 copies on black vinyl. An official video-clip for the track ‘Desecrated’ will be up next week, we’ll keep you posted.
