Another year is almost over, so it’s about time again to look back on which releases were really killer in 2014. An advance track from "Death Is Righteous", the upcoming album from Israeli Thrashers SHREDHEAD, is currently streaming at this location. Spanish Thrashers HOLYCIDE (featuring Dave Rotten of AVULSED on vocals) have finished their debut EP "Toxic Mutation". It was recorded in different studios and mixed and mastered by Raúl Fournier "Furni" at his own Overhead Studios. The EP contains 5 songs plus a cover of DARK ANGEL’s ‘Merciless Death’. The artwork was created by Mark Riddick. The complete tracklist reads as follows: ‘No Escape’, ‘Blood Typhoon’, ‘Apocalypse Riders’, ‘Radiation Endgame’, ‘Life Turned To Dust’ and ‘Merciless Death’ (DARK ANGEL). In Spring 2015 Imperium Productions in co-operation with Ván Records will release the second SULPHUR AEON full length "Gateway To The Antisphere" on CD, LP and digitally. The album was once again produced by Simon Werner and contains 11 tracks (9 songs plus intro and outro). The cover artwork was created by Ola Larsson again. Swedish Death Metallers BASTARD GRAVE have been signed by Pulverised Records. The band was formed in 2012 and already released a three-track demo entitled "Unmarked Grave" in 2014. Chinese ULULATE have been signed by Xtreem Music for the release of their new album "Back To Cannibal World". Kaotoxin Records has announced a crowdfunding campaign in support of PUTRID OFFAL‘s "Suffering" limited edition (100 copies) Kollektor Series CD. The release is an autographed "vinyl replica" CD (high-quality, spined-cardboard sleeve with printed inner sleeve) that comes with an exclusive sticker. There will be no future repress of this release. You can support the campaign at this location. All funders’ names will be listed in a dedicated thank list in the CD. U.S. Death Metallers INVASION are about to enter the studio to record their fourth album "Destroyer Of Mankind". Here’s a comment from guitarist / vocalist Phlegm on the band’s current status: "We started rehearsing material at the beginning of the year and unfortunately original drummer Crusader became ill so we ceased writing while we discussed our options. Hence, with his consent we found a new drummer named Diabolicon from the area who agreed to step in and fill his shoes while Crusader recovers from his ailment. In the meantime, we have 10 songs filled with utter hate and waritude ready to record. Two more songs are in the works but we may seek to release those on future CD compilations or possible split vinyl collaboration." The album’s artwork will be created by Ray Miller of Cursed Productions and the recording session will feature the guitar work of Thomas Brander from NUM SKULL.
