In 2014 a French version of the book “No Speed Limit: Québec Métal (1964 – 1989)” was originally released and already became a huge success (around 3000 copies were sold). The book was built around quotes from almost a hundred interviews. From VOÏVOD to OBLIVEON, from HOU-LOPS to OFFENBACH and AUT’CHOSE, from D.D.T., SWORD, and DBC and from DAMNATION to GORGUTS. “No Speed Limit: Québec Métal (1964 – 1989)” is now also available in English, translated by Geneviève Hass and carefully revised by music journalist Ian Christe, as well as musicians Samuel Dufour and Rob Milley. The band has just issued the following statement: “Behold ye brethren and sisters, for a last time we call out to you and thus, with saddened hearts, we have to proclaim the definite end of NECROS CHRISTOS. Due to the international situation we were forced to cancel all farewell shows we had actually planned for 2020 and we will not be able to postpone any of those to a later date. It was a long journey to go, with many highs and lows, but we are utmost grateful for all the moments we shared as a band, on the road, in the studio and with YOU, our supporters, our fans. We were never big in the business, never sold ourselves in any way, but that’s exactly what we are proud of. Drummer / vocalist / lyricist Proscriptor (Russ R. Givens) of Texas based “Mythological Occult Metal” act PROSCRIPTOR MCGOVERN’S APSÛ has just issued the following statement: “We have just completed the mixing process for the debut / self-titled album on Agonia Records. Earlier in 2020, I dissolved the 30-year old sanctuary of ABSU to emphasize on a renewed songwriting concord. With this forthcoming record, my objective was to append the signature sound of “Mythological Occult Metal”, but to convolute it with bouts of psychedelia, fusion and vintage electronics. The only individual that sees outside the circles of time is Vorskaath, as we have discussed a musical collaboration for nearly three decades. Now, he has fulfilled voids where applicable: from frenetic to oscillate.” The band’s line-up also features the just mentioned Vorskaath (ZEMIAL), bassist Ezezu and guitarist / bass player Vaggreaz. Chaos Records have signed Mexican Death Metallers MORBID MESSIAH for the release of a new EP entitled “Disgorged In The Coffin”. Guitarist Roberto Trejo issued the following official statement about it: “This one will be heavier, deeper, and will contain more sickness and madness than the other recordings. It will contain six songs, each one with a lot of meaning for MORBID MESSIAH and a very raw production in artwork and music engineering.
