Contenders for the longest band name in the history of Black Metal are 4500 ANS ENFERMÉ DANS UN VIEUX TOMBEAU POUSSIÉREUX ET SCELLÉ PAR UN SORT MAUDIT from France. If the nowadays much-vaunted artificial intelligence has not fooled me, it can be translated roughly like this: “4500 years locked in a dusty old tomb and sealed by a cursed spell”. Which pretty much matches the style of the band, even if I do not quite understand the whole four and a half thousand year aspect. The five songs are in the vein early 1990s Black Metal, above all “Dark Medieval Times” by SATYRICON. Some kind of reduced style and thus evoking a dark gloomy atmosphere. A second focus is on the use of keyboards, I have read the description Dungeon Synth somewhere. But this ingredience is only sparely used, more to strenghten the amtosphere. To me, the result sounds more like second-wave Black Metal than a sub-genre. This release, limited to 200 CDs, includes the only two releases by the band so far: “Libéré Par Une Flûte Enchantée Tombée Du Ciel Orageux” and “Mon Réveil Guidé Par Le Sablier” from 2023 respectively 2024.
