Tell me the first Argentinian band you can think of? Yeah, that isn’t that easy, such a big country though such a little impact it have had on the Metal scene compared to the other two big countries in South America, Chile and Brazil. Quite strange, though the new label Traumatic Records has set out to change that, and their first effort is the 4-way split "Death-Unification Split". As you might have guessed we are being served 4 brutal assaults of Argentinian Death Metal, one attack more brutal than the other, the theme here is relentless intensity and despair and that drive the music quite viciously forward. The 4 bands, ABOLITION OF IMPEDIMENT, FIBROMA, INSIDIOUS and MORDOR have found their niche within Death and Grind and pummels through whatever they meet on their way. I like things from all 4 bands and would love to hear more from them and the rest of the scene over there, as this release has sparked some interest in me, as it showcases 4 types of sheer brutality with intensity and energy, such is always needed. FIBROMA and MORDOR for sick Death / Grind without any compromise, INSIDIOUS for wicked brutality with a smashing intensity, dark and eerie Death Metal and last ABOLITION OF IMPEDIMENT with their technical approach to brutal Death Metal, all 4 bands are some to follow into the future.
