It ain’t easy to describe the music of the band with the Italian name Ai Muro what means “against the wall” translated into English but I think Ai Muro sounds much cooler. The sound is a mix between Death / Trash and Stoner Rock. Sometimes more Death / Thrash Metal and other times more Rock. The great opener ‘Nobody’s Funeral’ starts like a typical Death Metal song with growled vocals but then the great changeover to clean melodic singing comes. Great stuff. This variation of growls, screams and the normal voice continues on through all of the songs. Also the fast musical changes between the styles in the songs. Death Metal riffs meet Thrash sounds and Stoner stuff. Best example is the song ‘Uprising’. What sounds diffuse in the beginning works really fine. The songs are not technical overloaded but well arranged and great straight forward rocking. Besides the not really famous band Burner which plays a similar style I don’t know other bands which do a mixture like this.
