ANATHEMA
Resonance

More than ten years have already passed since ANATHEMA have entered the scene with their classic “They Die” 7″ and “Crestfallen” EP. A lot of changes have happened on the way and nowaydays there’s absolutely no elements left of the doomy type of Death Metal they were playing in the beginning. ANATHEMA anno 2001 is musically a lot closer to PINK FLOYD and therefore for most of you reading this probably not of interest anymore. “Resonance” is an all the way through mellow album, a compilation that features all the band’s acoustic, orchestral and non-distorted emotional pieces. That means you get ordinary versions from their releases “Serenades”, “Crestfallen”, “Silent Enigma”, “Eternity”, “Pentecost III” and “Alternative 4”, as well as two PINK FLOYD – and a BAD RELIGION cover (that originally appeared on the Peaceville Covers Compilation X), the two Japanese “Eternity” bonus tracks and a previously unreleased live version of ‘Angelica’ (which was recorded live in Budapest, 1997). The promotional video for ‘Hope’ and a moody coverart complete the picture. Just in case you need to know…
