EVIL CONSPIRACY
Prime Evil
(Sliptrick Records)
50:40min

Another release by Sliptrick Records but this time it is more genuine Metal, no Hard Rock like BROKEN OATH. "Prime Evil" is the debut by EVIL CONSPIRACY from Sweden and offers the listener a quite variety. The benchmarks are Thrash and Power Metal. Which means atmospheric and slow parts are alternating with fast parts, typical Bay Area Thrash Metal riffs are mixed with melodic Power Metal chords. The vocalist performs clear, but no high-pitched, singing. The only problem about this debut is the fact that it is getting boring all too often. All this slow, more atmospheric parts are redundant, same goes for some mediocre riffs. There is plenty of good Thrash and Power Metal on this output, but not for a running time of 50 minutes. One trick about writing books, novels and even reviews is to reduce, to chop, to tail, to trim. The same holds truth for writing and playing music. So for the next time, concentrate more on proper and veritable Thrash and Power Metal. Although the album did not convince me, Thrash and Power Metal fans may take a listen. www.facebook.com/evilconspiracy, www.sliptrickrecords.com
