"Exalted Emanation" is the much anticipated debut release of the British Dark Death Metal band GRAVE MIASMA, a band that was initially known as GOAT MOLESTOR but decided to change their moniker for reasons unknown to me. Through the past couple of years I’ve heard so many rumors about GRAVE MIASMA’s killer performances but since I never experienced any of them I could only read about what others – more fortunate than me – witnessed. Luckily, thanks to my friend Chris "Demonomancy" who was generous enough to send me a cool footage of GRAVE MIASMA (thank you very much Chris!) I could not but agree with all those who worshipped GRAVE MIASMA’s gigs because the rumors were nothing but true. The band manages to capture a very special atmosphere while on stage which in fact seems like a ritual of the darkest form. So after some time of anticipation the band’s debut MLP is released on CD and LP format and is nothing but great (as anticipated). Dark Death Metal from the darkest pit, mostly mid-tempo with loads of Black Metal influences especially from dark, "occult" bands. What I like about GRAVE MIASMA is that they are really into this occult / atmospheric approach with the deep, unearthly vocals and the great, slow and morbid, repetitive sound which helps them build up a great, obscure feeling. I know you read these words quite often, especially nowadays where everybody claims to be so much into the Dark Death Metal (where were you guys 10 years ago when very few cared about this sound?) but GRAVE MIASMA along with bands such as DEAD CONGREGATION, IGNIVOMOUS, VASAELETH, MANTICORE etc are among those that actually make the difference with their highest quality releases in this saturated part of the scene. www.gravemiasma.co.uk, www.sepulchralvoice.de
