IGNORANCE
No More War

How to define a band which sounds (according to their myspace-page) like a mixture of CARNIVORE, SEPULTURA, MASTER, PRO-PAIN. GWAR, SIX FEET UNDER, RAGE, DEATH, CANDLEMASS and OVERKILL? Perhaps it’s the easiest way for me to say that this comparison fits just perfect. Well, yes and no. Without comparing IGNORANCE to one of the above mentioned bands I’d say that their roots are in the Bay Area Thrash Metal scene and with those roots they matured to a Metal act which braves a certain Metal genre. They sound as a melting pot of different genres and this crossover works just fine for them. Here you hear MACHINE HEAD – type of parts and the next way you hear Danny’s vocals which have a "Jan-Chris de Koeyer" – vibe which is just awesome. "No More War" is a free promo which I got from their bassplayer Eddy and which was distributed for free at one of their gigs. It offers 3 catchy tunes of midpaced Thrash Metal, simple as it is. Three cool songs hopefully considered as an appetizer for an upcoming full length recording. Yes, I hope this recording can be considered as a new sign of life from this rather lazy bunch, because their last (2nd) official longplayer was already released in 2006. For openminded Metalheads "No More War" is the right choice. Get in touch with them through www.myspace.com/ignoranceweb or their regular homepage www.ignoranceweb.de and make them recognize that there is an interest in a new full length recording by asking for this promo CD.
