What a great and appropriate name for this Irish brain melting ‘supergrind’ duo! First thing that positively surprised me is heavy, fully laden sound which will bury you under the ton of heavy riffing and pummeling rhythmic cannonades. There are no vocals, I’LL EAT YOUR FACE deliver their warped out messages utilizing only drums and guitars (except the last track ‘Forever Sealed In The Electric Brain’s Melting Slug-Ray’) and I have no problems at all here, it definitely gives music more space to breathe and a chance for listener to apprecialte all the quirky rhythm changes and excellent pertaining grooves, this is almost Jazz-Grind! Tracks range between 1 and 2 minutes, so the whole album passes through very quickly and leaves me wanting to press the play button again, which is always a good thing! To sum it up shortly, I’d say "Hot Brains Terror" should easily appeal to fans of CEPHALIC CARNAGE and PIG DESTROYER. Take the vocals out of equation, slow it down a little bit and you have the picture. Of course, this is very primitive description and I personaly find both aforementioned bands a bit too much for me, too many stuff going on at once, but I’LL EAT YOUR FACE hit that golden spot where everythig falls into place – the thick guitar sound, interesting rhythm patterns, great mix of them too, plently of low end and it grooves like a motherfucker, yeah!
