The band was formed in 2003 in Australia and is now presenting their self released debut album. And it’s a good one. Intended Victim plays a mixture of melodic Death and Thrash Metal with progressive elements. Jamie Whyte and Martin Rice pull out nice riffs, filled with melodic leads and guitar duels as known from the Swedish party. Not new but well played. The band changes between grooving midtempo and fast blasting speed parts. The drumming is good and variable with breaks at the right time but not too much. The vocals of singer / bassist Ross Duncan change between deep growls and squawks, all rounded by a really good production.
