Since I was honored with the task of writing a review for the second full-length by KARCINOMA, I have completely stopped listening to Death Metal and my music taste entirely changed to operas, preferably with female vocals. Ok, just kidding. But it leads to the bottom line. There are two problems I have with this album. First are the female vocals, which sound like a opera singer. Well, we all know that female opera singers and Heavy Metal are not necessary an antithesis, the early NIGHTWISH albums with Tarja Turunen showed that a soprano singer and Power Metal could be an enjoyable combination. But the female sopranist of KARCINAOMA is not on the same gratifying level. Often, far too often, the singing is just an average trilling. Second problem the music itself, which lacks of inspiration and a compelling idea. All in all it is just a boring mash of standard Heavy Metal with some acoustic and piano parts and I do not really like it.
