When members of MURDER CORPORATION and DERANGED team up for an album one is tempted to expect brutal Death Metal, but surprise, surprise this is not the case with KILLAMAN. Founded in May 2002 the trio dedicated themselves to a rousing mixture of Thrash Metal and Crustcore / Punk with growled vocals that remind me sometimes of Chris Barnes (in his good days!). Bands like DRILLER KILLER, WOLFPACK, SLAYER or even music making psychopath G.G. Alllin can be named as further influences, but the powerful production at Berno Studios makes sure that despite all Punk or Thrash elements deadly heaviness is not lost at all! A lot of speed, drive and murderous aggression make songs like ‘Pistol Whipped’, ‘Breed On Kills’ or ‘Detected Selected And Shot’ great examples of first class Death / Thrash with an obvious Punk edge, memorable song structures and sarcastic lyrics which should be able to attract fans from all genres. "Killaman" is a contemporary, well-done and entertaining album you should not miss and it proves once again that despite a good production you do not have to sound modern at all. Visit www.killaman.net or www.displeasedrecords.com and I bet you’ll find even some MP3 files there. Support the serial trend killers!
