MOLOCH LETALIS

Second full length of ex – MOLOCH and now MOLOCH LETALIS from Poland. Unfortunately I have to review “Zgliszcza” in between a time where Frank forces us to name our favorite records of 2015 and also reviewing other stuff from Sweden. Which is of cause different but still though Black / Death Metal such as MOLOCH LETALIS but way more substantive. Means I deal with great music the last days, nearly 24/7. At daytime on my headphones and at nights at my working space. Which leads me to a situation where I might be biased. And without wanting to do them an injustice, I have to designate this piece of Black / Death Metal: very ordinary. The riffing is, viewed from my above named point, not more then average. Considering it maybe a hail back to 90s simplicity, it’s still too unadventurous and spineless to attract special attention. Harmonies which sound like they are just jamming around a bit and taking the first nice sounding idea to record it. It’s pretty foreseeable. Which doesn’t inevitably need to be something bad. You just need to have the magic knowledge of how to be simple and still the shit. Even though it’s not a bad record. Not at all. It’s just, unfortunately for them, very average. Still I like the weird vocals and the dirt around the sound. And I am pretty sure “Zgliszcza” is for quite a few an entertaining piece.
