But now he comes up with a book entitled Swedish Death Metal. Here’s what he had to tell about it: "It takes you back to a time when everything was perfect. Endless parties, exciting music, cut-and-paste artwork, unreadable logos, stage diving mayhem and just a fucking great time! I’m following the left hand path – and I will never leave it." On January 26 there will be an exclusive release-party at the classic underground-venue Kafé 44 in Stockholm. This is a night for invited oldsters only, so the place will be crawling with people from the old days. Confirmed to play are: GROTESQUE (first gig in 16 years!), NIRVANA 2002 (first gig ever!) and INTERMENT (first gig in 14 years!). For all further details check out www.myspace.com/tamarapress.

Here’s a little update from Pete Helmkamp about the upcoming new ANGELCORPSE album: "Everything is going great for the "Of Lucifer And Lightning" recording. John Longstreth has created some hammering drums for us to work with, and Gene and I are hard at work tracking guitars, bass and vocals for the album. We promise that "Of Lucifer And Lightning" will be the most extreme ANGELCORPSE album to date. Of course this sounds cliche and what every band might say after ‘re-forming’ after several years, but we say fuck off to all of that: ANGELCORPSE has never been like those other bands and this album will certainly show that to be true. Beware: Antichrist Vanguards advance!"

VOICES FROM THE DARKSIDE once again is in need of reliable underground maniacs, that are interested to contribute to our website. Your musical taste should be along the lines of what we cover here (Black, Death & old school Thrash Metal, as well as classic 80s Metal acts) and the english language shouldn’t be a problem for you either. Same goes for the necessary time and motivation to do this on a regular base. Due to the fact that we will have to forward promo CDs to you, we prefer to work with interested people from inside of Germany (the postage costs to send material to foreign countries is simply ridiculous, not to mention the waste of time). But if you’re running a zine, radio show, label, mailorder or whatever (so that you have access to a lot of new releases yourself) you may contact us from outside of Germany as well. So, don’t hesitate any longer and get in touch!
