“Gods Of Creation, Death And Afterlife” was a great dark old school Death Metal album, which suffered a bit from a weak production, but I guess if the pre-produced advance-tracks of COFFIN TEXTS upcoming album “Tomb Of Infinite Ritual”, that you find on this promo CD, give a taste of what the album will be like – be prepared for an absolute Death Metal highlight!!! The four tracks on the promo, unfortunately I have no song titles, are excellent dark and brutal Death Metal songs, that sound like a mixture of L.A. cult-acts INFAMY and SADISTIC INTENT, totally fucking killer!!! The production has improved incredibly and sounds natural, heavy and intense. The songs themselves are a bit more complex than the stuff on COFFIN TEXTS debut, but definitely very, very old school! The vocals have not changed significantly, although Bobby Cardenas told me something about a new vocalist, but I’m not sure about that. Anyway, this CD is a great appetizer for the album, which shall be released on WW3 Music in early 2003 and everyone, who likes the bands I mentioned or stuff as IMMOLATION, INCANTATION should be sure to watch out for “Tomb Of Infinite Ritual”!!!
