ADORIOR is a long standing British Death Metal Band. Formed in 1994, they have released two demos, two splits and two excellent albums. “Bleed On My Teeth” is their third full length, released 19 years after their last one. And all I can say is that the wait was all worth it. Upon first listening I was totally amazed by it. Not only the sound but also the songs themselves. There are no fillers. It’s absolutely savage from start to end. It grabs your neck tight and doesn’t let go for almost 50 minutes. Vocalist Melissa Gray (aka Jaded Lungs) has one of the best vocal styles around. She goes from some old school Speed Metal grunt to Death Metal growls and some shrieks that would make Attila Csihar scared. Both guitar players, Steve P. (aka S. Assassinator) and Roland C (aka RC) churn out a barrage of riffs full of tremolo parts, palm muted chugs and even melodic and harmonic passages with bassist Tom Mckenna (aka T) providing heavy and solid lines that perfectly match Dani Ben-Haim’s (aka D. Molestor) drum performance. His use of double bass and constant tempo changes is simply amazing. All these elements combine perfectly, giving ADORIOR a very identifiable character and sound. Production wise, “Bleed On My Teeth” sounds modern, but not over done. The album has a very mid ’90s feel, with a well balanced mix that gives every instrument its place. I think that the vocals are a tad pushed back, but that aspect works really nice with the overall atmosphere. And I dig how the master is not bricked. The album has a lot of dynamics which is something that this old fart writer and fan welcomes very much. “Bleed On My Teeth” is already in my top 10 list for 2024. The excellent blend of Speed, Death and even Black Metal has not only made ADORIOR a very interesting band, but they have built a very identifiable style. As I said before, the wait was worth it. This album has it all. The incessant barrage of riffs, pounding bass, savage drums and wild vocals. Just go out there and get it. You cannot ask for more. Recommended 200%. This is how Death / Black / Speed Metal is all about. Period. Support the band at www.facebook.com/adorior and get their album immediately from their label www.facebook.com/sepulchralvoicerecords
