ANGELGOAT
The Lucifer Within

Sometimes it can be quite good to be hit by a dusty nostalgic fist to the face. This fist is what Serbian Unholy Carnager delivers with his one man battle machine ANGELGOAT. A trip back in time, when almost all Second Wave Of Black Metal releases from Scandinavia and Finland kicked serious omnious arse. It is easy to draw a lot of references to certain bands, especially from the Finnish scene from a certain excellent label, though besides that the music is delivered quite well. The intensity is thick and Unholy Carnager is an angry fellow, the riffing is very aggressive, the drumming intense and the vocals are spewed forth with hate and anger. It is far from the most original album I’ve ever laid my ears upon, though the delivery of the music and and atmospheres are ace and quite scorching, the thick dark hateful atmosphere is spot on, and the aggressivness is supporting it quite well, so a nice banger for the coming summer storms!
