Founded in the winter of 2001 this exotic young band from Indonesia dedicated themselves to raw Black Metal inspired by the likes of EMPEROR, SATYRICON and now comes up with their first MCD. Over here in Europe we are satiated with acts like this and to be honest in terms of production and songwriting BALTHAZOR are far from being able to compete with the bands from our part of the world. Creating, distributing, producing and living Metal might be a lot harder in Indonesia than in Europe or the USA, but I do not like to write a good review just because of some "exotic factor". Despite the necessary aggression and drive BALTHAZOR certainly have, they are a pretty lame and boring Black Metal band at least I can live without. They do not give any new input to the genre or are able to create something that meets the standards of early IMPIETY or young bands from Europe. In my opinion you have to come up with a little more than just standard, badly produced northern Black Metal to leave your mark on the Metal map.
