BEYREVRA
Echoes: Vanished Lore Of Fire

BEYREVRA hails from Nuremberg, Germany. The band mixes a couple of genres through their first full length “Echoes: Vanished Lore Of Fire”, at times they sound like a traditional Black Metal band with brilliant screeches and at times they sound like a traditional old school Death Metal band. On the whole though BEYREVRA sound like an army marching towards you from a distance, they’re completely involved in the process, the riffs sound massive, the drumming sticks to the traditional side but does not shy away from going from 0 to 10 instantly. The vocals range from traditional deep Death Metal growls to harsh screeches. From an execution perspective, the band is on point on every single song. I think this is a band you’d love to see on stage, these guys will destroy everything in sight for one hour straight. Now to the other aspects of the release, the riffs are hardhitting, but they don’t tend to go beyond their lane into something new. Considering how well the guitars sound, it is a minor complaint but in my opinion it’s a point regardless. The album on the whole sounds like a rolling pillar of metal grounding everything in its way. But for the riffs sounding like you might’ve heard them before, BEYREVRA stick to their guns and deliver an absolutely kickass melodic Death / Black Metal release to energize you in 2024. There are all elements of Scandinavia across the album and any old school Death Metal fan will be delighted to hear this record. The musicians are all in perfect harmony with each other and it shows. Recommended to fans of all variations of Death Metal and especially recommended to fans of the first wave of melodic Death Metal. Some of the riffing takes us back to the first wave of Gothenburg Metal and it sounds kickass! For more information, please visit: www.facebook.com/beyrevraofficial, www.facebook.com/trollzorn
