Sins Remain

BLACKHOUR is a Pakistani (!) Metal band which recently released their second full length via Transcending Obscurity Distribution from India. So this is quite an exotic release here. Something that really amazed me was that you actually don’t hear that they come from a part of the world where Heavy Metal music is not as openly lived as here in the Western World. Something that amazed me even more was that they deliver one of the best post Blaze Bayley IRON MAIDEN copies I have ever heard with the second track ‘Wind Of Change’. However, this is unfortunately the only thing that struck me while listening to “Sins Remain”. While being produced really timeless without sounding like plastic, it’s the songwriting that is just way too modern for me and I guess for everybody else who is a visitor of this website as well. While ‘Wind Of Change’ is IRON MAIDEN 100% the rest of the tracklist reminds more of what the WWE used music wise back in 2005. Fans of this kinda music will probably like this record but people who worship Heavy Metal won’t be too happy about what is to be found on “Sins Remain”.
