Bleedience

From the cold shores of Norway this quintet emerges and their self-titled debut MCD contains four songs (plus two intros) offering well-crafted, diversified and individual sounding Black / Death / Dark Metal with female and clean vocal parts. And though I can not call myself a fan of music like that I have to appreciate the fact that BLEEDIENCE do a really good, professional job and offer 20 minutes of fascinating and original dark music. I also honour that the band uses Norwegian lyrics in most songs, the only exception being the last track ‘Prejudice’, which is the only song on this MCD that is a bit lame, because the clean part at the beginning is just awful… anyway, this does not ruin the overall good impression BLEEDIENCE left in my memory. The production is excellent and while being melodic and atmospheric BLEEDIENCE do not overdo it, but preserve a grim and aggressive feeling. So if you do not have any problems with Black / Death that breaks its stylistic boundaries give BLEEDIENCE a chance and you might discover a valuable newcomer!
