The is the debut recording from this Indian band. Usually when a band is playing Thrash nowadays I am cautious. I have never been a fan of happy fun Thrash, and to some that seems to be Thrash nowadays. But CARNAGE INC. is lucky for us, far away from that. First, they have a crunchy guitar sound and a very good production overall. They also seem to be good players. And they have some interesting riffs, pretty much influenced by the Bay Area Thrash of the 90s, meaning it has a sound similar to FORBIDDEN, VIO-LENCE, DEATH ANGEL and of course METALLICA and SLAYER, obviously speaking about what those bands were doing in their first albums. The vocals are rougher than the usual melodic Thrash Metal vocalist, maybe having, like the music overall, a bit flavor of good Hardcore. I find this MCD to be quite enjoyable, the riffs are simple, yet direct and the message they deliver is also there with what Thrash Metal was all about: rebellion and anger! For a first work, this also means a very bright future ahead. I am not exactly that convinced by their name, but then again the music is good enough for me to keep an eye on them for the future. www.facebook.com/carnageincindia, www.transcendingobscurity.com
