CELESTERRE
Earth

If I meant it well for CELESTERRE and their second album “Earth”, I’d attest to them that they are a Progressive Metal band with a unique style. Well, the problem is that nearly any new Progressive Metal act of this millennium only gives me a headache, combined with the incredible urge to turn that shit off. And it’s the same with Dutch CELESTERRE. To be honest: “Earth” sounds like a hotchpotch of ideas, haphazardly thrown together, no matter if it works or even fits. Just put Black Metal, classic Metal, some ambient rubbish, skewed riff ideas and a pathetic voice in a shaker, mix up the stuff and see what comes out. Man, that’s not always the way it goes! The songs sound shitty and disjointed, the vocal delivery is a pain in the ass and the whole record is nothing but a waste of time.
