CIRCLE OF CHAOS hail from Stockholm, Sweden and play melodic Death Metal. “Forlorn Reign”, their second full length, is out now on Satanath Records. Well, melodic Death Metal and Sweden? Must be some form of a HM2 derivative slab right? Not really. CIRCLE OF CHAOS play an amalgamation of old school Death Metal and melodic elements that make this a decent album from start to finish. If the band were playing a huge fest and the vocalist was a part of another Stockholm band, he could easily switch stages in-between and still ace his vocals. It’s funny but when you take each of the elements in isolation, “Forlorn Reign” is actually a pretty well done album from start to finish. Somehow, the honesty comes through here and by all means, every single musician in the band is giving 100% through and through. The guitars are really well done, the second track of the album ‘Forlorn Reign’ is a prime example. Haunting guitars that pierce the atmosphere embrace the comfort of the Gothenburg approach and couple with the spirit of Floridan Death Metal sound. CIRCLE OF CHAOS sounds like an out and out live band, they will surely be fun to experience in a nice small pub. On the whole, this is a well intentioned and executed Death Metal affair, for more information, please visit: www.facebook.com/circleofchaos, www.satanath.com
