I know the leader of this band from the time he played in the Power Metal band CONCEPTION. It was no secret he had a Black Metal band where he was expressing more the music he wanted. Well, nowadays although the term Black Metal still can be used to define the band, it does belong to the more controlled and technical way of Black Metal. The vocals are probably the thing more connected to Black Metal, as I feel the music would sound good too with clean vocals. I think that there is no surprise in saying that the band is formed of very capable musicians and that the recording values are very high. There is without doubt a strong Heavy / Power Metal influence everywhere but taken to a more extreme form if you will. In fact I will say that compared to their previous material, this one sounds darker, heavier and thrashier. And coming form band members around half a century, that is a brave movement. What is maybe some of the weakest points here turns out to be the vocals. Some more variety will only help, keeping the same tone all the time makes things sound too much alike.
