CRIMINAL were founded in Santiago de Chile in late 1991 by Rodrigo Contreras and Anton Reisenegger (ex-PENTAGRAM) and back then, their sound was more Death Metal. Maybe it’s easier the following way: “Cancer” contains a great multi media section with five (!!!) Videos: two clips and three live clips. You can see the development of the band easily without even listening: the last two clips with material of “Cancer” show everybody but the drummer having their hair cut! This means: CRIMINAL’s new album sounds like (a bit too) modern Thrash Metal. After listening to this one a couple of times I’m starting to like this because of its intensity, but at first it was a bit hard. So if you think you might like this style, don’t hesitate because of the short running time: the multi media section is absolutely great: pictures, biography and of course the vids make this an enjoyable piece indeed! www.criminal.cl
