You wanna know what’s the worst thing about this CD? Its length!!! 26 minutes of cheesy, slimy "Hammerheart", "Blood On Ice" era BATHORY worship are far more than I can take. Where Quorthon’s songs manage to create an intense Viking-atmosphere even though Quorthon can not sing, Crom, who does all on "The Fallen Beauty" except drumming, just can not sing – that’s the only thing he has in common with his main inspiration. The flair and raw spirit BATHORY once embodied is absolutely non-existent on this MCD – check out German MORRIGAN if you’d like to feel it again! The Kris Verwimp-cover is cool and the layout of this release is well done and really professional, but despite a good production the music and especially the vocals on "The Fallen Beauty" are just awful!!!
