This is already the 10th issue of Brazil’s CRUSH THE CROSS zine and (if my memory serves me right) the first one I got my hands on. Editor Samir Souza seems to be a very dedicated supporter of the underground and keeps it going for quite some time now, with an increased number of pages from issue to issue. The layout is clear and simple, yet rooted in the good old days of xeroxed b/w zines. This time you get to read interviews with INCARCERATION, AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR, DEFORMITY B.R., CATACUMBA, REVENGE (Colômbia), DISGRACE AND TERROR and ZÊNITE, a report about the German Party.San Festival 2013 as well as a bunch of reviews on CDs, zines, demos and compilations. What I don’t really like is the mix of languages throughout the whole issue (partly Portuguese, partly English), which makes it a bit confusing here and there. So my suggestion is to focus on one language only (preferable English of course). The overall quality is pretty good though (I suppose it has been done with a laser printer), with clear photos and background grafics that don’t collide with the content.
