Additionally to their debut full length on Threeman Recordings, there’s also two vinyl 7"es available from Sweden’s old school horde DAMNATION. The first one, "Divine Darkness", features the band’s demo of the same name from 1994. In case you missed out on it back when it originally came out (or were simply too lazy to get it through tapetrading), here’s a second chance to hear the material. What you get is three unpolished tracks (‘Eternal Black’ – which also appears in a new version on the "Destructo Evangelia" album now, ‘The Dark Divine’ and ‘The Mistress / Queen Of Sin’) and a cool cover of BATHORY’s ‘The Return Of Darkness And Evil’. Compared to their new material these songs still sounded a little bit more melodic and less NIFELHEIM / TREBLINKA infected. They actually made me think of DISSECTION back when the demo originally came out (a comparision which the band wasn’t too happy about) Oh, well… The other 7" also features demo recordings, but they are more fresh as they got recorded last winter, but (as far as I know) never officially released before. All of the songs (‘Insulter Of Jesus Christ’, ‘Night Eternal’ and the VULCANO cover ‘Bloody Vengeance’) made it onto their full length (newly recorded though), so that this is more like a collectors item for DAMNATION die hards (the EPs are limited to 1.000 copies each). Don’t know if there’s also any colored vinyl copies or something, at least mine are both on black fuckin’ vinyl and come up with a total old school, black & white packaging. The funny thing is that the guy who released them (ex-Putrefaction zine editor Tomas Nyqvist) returned back into the spotlight right around the same time with his label as the DAMNATION guys… and just like them, he’s also not into modern technologies… So, no – there’s no Iron Fist website on the net, hahaha. To order your copies you gotta write an old fashioned letter to: Iron Fist Productions, c/o Tomas Nyqvist, Madängsgatan 8a, 41702 Göteborg, Sweden. According to DAMNATION’s Mr.Churchburner (who wasn’t completely sure about the price of the EPs either), 6 Euros for a copy (8 Euros for both) should probably do… but don’t quote me on that.
